Day of rest
16.09.05
Two weeks since I arrived in Switzerland, here I am sitting on the balcony at a out-of-the-way hostel with hardly anyone around. Nicole who manages and cleans the place is doing just that (this hostel is very well kept). Today I’m taking a break from all this travelling, and also working through my application for Wycliffe.
All this travelling can be exhausting — there’s all the planning, scheduling, finding accommodations and food, determining what sights to see, and a lot of walking and carrying luggage. Even when on holidays, it’s important to have a day of rest!
Whenever I open my closet, I find “Roam if you want to, roam around the world” playing in my head.
If I can trust God for the funds to work at Wycliffe, I can also trust him for the same for continuing at Capernwray. If I take to this school thing, I would like to go to Greece in January, though that will require a student Visa, and changing my flight. But if that’s what God wants for me, surely it will come to pass.
I went to meet Dahlia at the bus station because it was dark, but she must have got off at an earlier stop and arrived a few minutes before I got back. I met a Canadian at the stop, who’s parents were Swiss and her husband too, but she was born in Canada. This seems to be common, perhaps to avoid having your boys drafted into the Swiss Military.
